Then go to career, make player, and then choose team
Sim offseason; if you don't get a start go to setting and change it to rookie and change everything else
Then play games. Work on your speed mainly until your fast enough to swipe bases. Then work on hitting. Once you've got both pretty good and you can jack and swipe work on stretching so you won't get injured. Once you've got them you really don't need to work on throwing or catching. To keep them from decreasing just go to infield drills and use 100 points.It will stabilize all of the shagging fly balls, arm strength + accuracy, and fielding!

For an easy franchise mode win simply stack your team. To do this go to the features on the main menu then go to rosters choose the team of your choice then put go to player movement then get all allstars on your team then change your lineup and bullpen to your choosing.

When you are on third base in the career mode get a huge lead off of third base.The pitcher will throw the ball to third base. Once the pitcher throws the ball the your player will start running and you can easily steal home no matter how slow your player is. But if the third basemen is holding you on at third it won't work because they will throw you out at home every time

if you have a player who is faster than average there is an easy way to get steals off of cpu.first,get familiar with when the cpuwill try a pickoff. notice the crowd gets louder just before it, the pitch guessing buttons disappear, and the feilder goes towards the base. once you know this well enough, take a big lead off of the base.when you know this pitcher is going to pick off, manually send the runner to the next base,using triangle + left or square + down, depending on what base they are on. note: do not try this with a runner on first base, as the pickoff is to quick with the first baseman is aready holding the bag. this only works when nobody is holding the runner. also, if the defense is in double play position, it is tougher, but still possible to complete successfully.

During spring training, stockpile training points and spend them all on only one important trait, as you dont need to spend points to keep attributes up in spring. At the end of spring training, sign a one year contract, and do the same thing in spring training next year. It's a much faster way of getting points.

To start on the MLB team's roster for the regular season, go to features in the main menu before you start career mode, and which ever team you want to be on, trade the teams best position player at whatever position you want to play at, to be a starter!

if you want a perfect team, you first start a franchise and put draft on. keep doing that until you get the #1 pick in the draft. pick johan Santana. after the draft, trade your second best pitcher and a bunch of other guys and try do get a deal with a-rod.if you do, you will haeva great team.
Hint: use this tip to get other player that are good.

In Franchise mode there is a glitch that allows you to get the ticket sales of a game without actuually playing the game. What you do is go to the schedule and go to the menu where you pick the team you want to be on and then exit out. You will get the revenue of the ticket sales without playing the game. This is not really a fair cheat though and it is much more fun when you play the game the right way.
