Soul Calibur 5
Soul Calibur 6 is way better than 5, so yeah, if you liked 5, I'm pretty sure you will love this one. Gameplay wise, is the best Soul Calibur ever made. The characters creation remains the same, but now with different races to select and you now can place 8 decalls on your armor and body, instead of 6.
That was the worst idea ever in the series! Which leads me into my last point on why Soul Calibur 5 is better than Soul Calibur 4 IMO, the character creator on Soul Calibur 4 is so basic Nd Soul Calibur 5 improved it. The very fact that you can't change sizes in Soul Calibur 4 and the outfits you have in Soul Calibur 4 kinda sucks by comparison.
BUT, I should say, SC6 have less characters and less armors for CaS, at least for now. Anyway, the new mechanics are great, the combat is faster and the characters are more unique.
Of course, this is my opinion, but I guess you really should try this one. 5 is one of the weaker ones in the series (IMO).Not only due to lack of quite a few of the 'staple'/legacy chars, being replaced or missing, a lot of small DLC's and quite some unbalance.and straying from being 'physically' weapon based.5 just didn't interest me in the same way as 1 and 3. And I only played a little SC IV.This one actually have one char not being 'physically' weapon based.(Azwel)But overall I'd say this is the best one since SC 1 (and SC III have a special place for me too)I've not played SC II much at all, even less so against someone else. It's known as 'The Best'I tend not note judge it, as I hardly played it enough to have an opinion. This (SC VI) is really good! Originally posted by:Pretty much every SC player agrees that 5 was the worst. So this is definitely better. However, if 5 was your first one, I dunno what you would think. But it's fun, has good character creation, good gameplay.I just hope you didn't get too attached to 5's characters, since half of them aren't here (most of them probably didn't even born in this point of the story) Yea I have no connection to the characters and it seems like the ones I liked (and the ones that mattered) have returned for 6. Originally posted by:EDIT: I would like to add that as a long time fan I do enjoy this game more than 5 and 2 but the inclusion of the reversal edge system can be annoying and the long super animations gets old after awhile though that was a problem in 5 too. If you enjoyed 5s gameplay you will feel right at home with 6 and I would indeed recommend it.That is my only real complaint too!The RE's and long CE animations. Sure, I understand why some people like to look 'cool' as Zas in the game. But it's more then 5 seconds of posing and more or less totally stops the flow of the game.

I never use an RE, the meter build fast enough without it, and it's not 'fun'Sure if you get hit by Zas CE, or Azwel's SC CE, you already have lost most of the round. But why 'double punish' with being forced to almost watch the entire crap movie Titanic if you miss a block, or even worse if it's a combo ender, and give less added damage due to scaling then a standalone low kick.It feels worse then the 'Dizzy State' from earler SF games, that really were a double punish in terms of damage and flow.I played a Maxi today, who's main move/combo were a. Sure I fell into it a lot of times, but I don't think anyone of us had fun during it.
