Let's get to work on saving that kingdom!3D Dot Game Heroes Guide Contents How do I save the princess, and why should I bother? Saving the princess is worth doing because you can obtain a few Trophies that aren't otherwise available (including one for spending the night with her at the inn in Raejack Village). Saving her isn't all that easy, though. First, you'll need to get one of each color of key (red, green and blue) from Jim's Shack.
They cost 1000G each. Then you must head southwest a long distance from Ortego Village to find a cave on an island surrounded by a circular lake. Enter the cave and work through it to find the fairy Sue.
Later in the game, just ahead of the Dark Tower that serves as the game's final dungeon, you can find a new cave near the lower east portion of the swamp-infested area where the tower exists. Enter it with three more keys in your possession (one of each color, as before) and work through the cave to find and rescue the fairy named Ai. Now the three fairies will combine to form the princess.
Don't forget to spend the night at Raejack Inn before you take her back to the castle to meet with the final sage. The Hero's Shield is available in a secret dungeon that you can reach after clearing the Wind Temple, but some preparation is necessary.
First, make sure that you have obtained the Flame Shield by performing side quests detailed in the Walkthrough portion of this guide. Dic in Raejack Village will upgrade that shield to the Bolt Shield once you find Rubber for him and pay 1000G. Purchase three keys (one red, one blue and one green) from Jim's Shack, then head toward the base of the cliff on which the Dark Tower is built. Around the left side, you'll find a cave that you can reveal with a Bomb blast. Enter the cave and work through it while burning through your supply of keys. At the end of the dungeon, a man will offer to trade your Bolt Shield for the one that he just found.
Accept the trade and you'll receive the Hero's Shield, which can block pretty much any projectile in the game. It's awesome! You can find the Hero's Sword in the graveyard in the far southwest corner of the world map. Enter the graveyard, then work toward its lower right corner while defeating the zombie fellows and avoiding the ghosts.
There are a few graves here with pots on either side. You can push one of them (the one located up three rows and left one column) to reveal a staircase.
Descend those stairs to find the ghost of the ancient hero. He'll hand over the Hero's Sword.
It's one of the best weapons in the game, particularly if you missed any side quest rewards (though you shouldn't if you follow our Walkthrough from start to finish).
From Dotnia Castle, head due west. You'll soon come to the entrance to Raejack Village, the main town in the game. Here you can upgrade your sword, purchase items and fool around with other things that will lead to a better character or a deeper experience. There are a variety of pursuits available immediately, so make sure that you thoroughly explore your options.(Above Left) Visit the blacksmith's shop to improve your weapon. (Above Right) Snag an empty bottle from the treasure chest in the house with the maze of statues.Certain stops should be made almost the moment you enter the village. For example, you should stop in at the blacksmith's house (one of two businesses housed in a double cottage with a sign depicting a sword and another depicting an anvil).
Wildstar online wiki. In the blacksmith's shop, you can enhance your sword's attributes. For a fee, you can make your blade wider and longer or even learn powerful new techniques that can be used in battle. Such upgrades are highly recommended, as you might imagine. Pay careful attention to the cost and the upgrades that you choose, as you'll have to pay to start over from scratch if your crazy customization results in a weapon that's not sufficiently balanced.Besides the blacksmith, you should also make time to visit the shop next door to purchase an Iron Shield for 100G. Also visit the assortment of three houses along the north end of the village, just behind the blacksmith's shop.
In the far right one, you can talk to the inventor that lives there to receive the Dash Boots. Pressing and holding the 'Square' button with them equipped allows you to run and therefore to ram against objects. The Mega Man reference is a nice touch, too.
The next house left from there houses some chests that you can open for money. Talk to the old man there and accept a quest to kill 10 agile enemies. You'll can come back later for a reward, once you've done so. Finally, head back outside and enter the next house to the left. There, you can open more chests for gold. Talk to the man in the middle of the room (he's flanked by two ladies) and help him choose which one of them he should marry.
A hero should always make time to give premarital counseling, don't you think?West one area from the building where you help the future husband, you'll find two more buildings. Enter the left one and you'll find a maze of statues. Work your way to the back left corner and there's a treasure chest waiting there that you can open to obtain an Empty Bottle.(Above Left) The man staying at the inn loves 3D games. (Above Right) There's a wishing well in the cave along the far southeast corner of Raejack Village. Before you leave the village on your way to the Grass Temple that waits further west, you should make time for one final stop. That stop should be at the inn, which is located along the town's southwestern side. Head inside and talk to the man who is standing in the room to the right.
He'll gush over 3D games and ask if you'd play a mech game. The question may seem like idle chatter, particularly since you can't even choose an answer, but it's actually an important event and one that you can miss out on if you don't talk to the fellow before clearing the first temple. Don't forget to talk to him!Now that you've seen what the village has to offer, you're likely ready to leave.
You can hang around the immediate vicinity to beat weak enemies and to save up for the Iron Shield and sword upgrades if you like. There's also a wishing well located in a cave to the southeast of the main village. You can enter the cave and throw money into the well to potentially score a Life Shard, but it could take quite a few attempts and each toss will cost you 20G. You'd probably do better to return once money is more easily obtained.
