Mad Otter Games, the developers behind free-to-play MMORPG Villagers and Heroes, have announced a massive expansion to the game which will include a giant rework of many of the game’s systems. Starfall is set to add a ton of content to the game alongside the revamp of many of the games core features.

The Starfall expansion is a massive update to Villagers & Heroes, bringing a huge amount of improvements and new features - a level cap raise and new zones, a completely revamped loot system, a new leveling system with new talent trees and feats for all classes, and countless other additions such as a new world map, mobile improvements, and more.

Mad Otter Games C.E.O Damon Slye stated: Fantasoft new centurions.

We’re very excited to announce the expansion to our game. Starfall is our most ambitious expansion to date that not only adds plenty of new content such as new locations, but also reworks a large portion of the game such as crafting, loot, and the progression system. Oh, and did I mention we are removing repair costs for weapons and armor?

Villagers & Heroes: Starfall is set to raise the level cap to level 90 and over time adding an impressive seven new zones allowing max level players to journey through all new story-driven content and face down new challenging Elder bosses. Transport giant free download.

The expansion also looks to revamp things like the loot system, which will make loot more significant and will allow players to craft more meaningful items. The class system is also receiving a rework and new content with Starfall bringing all-new talent trees and feats. Each class will now have three specializations and access to Ultimates, which are powerful bonuses that can allow players to access powerful combat feats or game-changing passives.

On top of the massive changes coming to the game, Starfall also brings a host of improvements including UI improvements, an all new world map, and a bunch of bug fixes and general enhancements.

Right around the time of Starfall, I used the Talent Builder quite a bit as I figured out how I wanted to redistribute points on my 4 toons. I anticipate that I will want to do the same again before this patch rolls out. (It's certainly not the case that I wouldn't want to do this!) Yes, I still have quite a few talent reset potions leftover from Starfall, but I'd rather not use them all up with this big, upcoming patch! (I'm fairly sure that at this point, all the remaining ones are soulbound and not accountbound.

I also can't guarantee that my higher lvl toons don't have too few talent reset pots & that my lower lvl ones don't have more than they really need!) LOL Being able to tinker with the Talent Builder a little ahead of the patch also really helps to ease the transition. (At least, that was my personal opinion with all the Starfall changes that we had to adjust to.) Finally, my favorite thing about using the Talent Builder is that it does the math for me!!There will be a lot of tough decisions to make regarding how we all most want to set our talent points. (And the talent point builder is the easiest way for high lvl toons (and/or toons who have 20-25 extra talent points) to visualize the possibilities.).
